Hello world !

“The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time” – Abraham Lincoln

We could all probably do with living life in this context but as we all know, its often easier said than done. I am new to blogging, indeed, I could probably say I am new to technology considering the length of time it took me to work out the basics of domain names, web hosting sites and web design! I’m still winging it and you’ll have to forgive me for the mistakes I know I will make along the way!

I decided to write this blog for myself and hopefully to share some advice with other mums navigating their way through raising children. I am 43 years old, I have three children and I work as a childminder. I eat, sleep and breathe children and there is not a lot I haven’t had to deal with from the basics like sleep, potty training and behaviour, to teenagers (that’s a whole story on its own!) autism, allergies and epilepsy. I sometimes feel like I was put on this earth and allocated a particularly hard shift but as all mums will tell you, we wouldn’t change a thing (well maybe only a couple!!)

None of us are perfect but we have to learn to deal with what life throws at us and sometimes the best way to do that is to share our collective knowledge and help each other out and when all else fails, laugh!
